Premier Inn Unlimited Breakfast – Is It A Good Deal?

Premier Inn is our go-to choice for short breaks in the UK. And no, this isn’t a sponsored article! We’ve always had excellent service, a comfy bed, and a good night’s sleep wherever we have stayed. One thing Premier Inn does really well is breakfast. The Premier Inn Unlimited Breakfast costs £10.99 if you stay at the hotel, and kids eat free. But is it a good deal?

Breakfast at Premier Inn

Most Premier Inns serve breakfast in one of their attached restaurants. The brand of the restaurant might vary. In some locations, it is Beefeater, others have Brewers Fayre, and some have Table Table. But the brand doesn’t matter because the food offering is still the same. You can choose an unlimited cooked breakfast for £10.99 or a continental option for £8.99. The £10.99 option includes all the continental and cooked breakfast items.

Breakfast is served between 6.30 am and 10.30 am on weekdays and between 7 am and 11 am at weekends. When you book into your hotel, if you have purchased a breakfast, you will be asked approximately what time you will eat breakfast. This helps to ensure enough food is available at your chosen time.

Most Premier Inn’s serve breakfast buffet style; you can go up as many times as you like. A few hotels offer a continental buffet and take orders for cooked items, but most are full buffet style. Staff at the restaurants are friendly and helpful, so don’t be afraid to ask if there is anything you need.

The busiest times are always mid-slot, between 8:30 and 9:00 am. During these times, you may have to queue for some items, such as the tea or coffee machine or the toaster. But generally, you can serve yourself very quickly—and you can always go back up for more!

Is The Premier Inn Unlimited Breakfast A Good Deal?

At Premier Inn, kids eat free, which makes it a fantastic deal for families. Up to two children can eat free per adult, purchasing an unlimited breakfast. Compared to other options, you can save money, and there are plenty of things that kids will find appealing. They will also enjoy being able to choose their breakfast rather than having one laid out in front of them.

For couples and solo travellers, value for money depends on your appetite. The breakfast offers convenience and is a good choice, but there are cheaper options if you don’t eat a lot in the morning. Toby Carvery offers an unlimited breakfast for 6.99, but unlimited tea or filter coffee costs extra.

What we Love

  • Always plenty of choice
  • Staff are friendly and welcoming
  • Kids eat free
  • Vegan and gluten-free options
  • Restaurants are clean and tidy
  • You don’t need to be staying at Premier Inn to order breakfast

There are a few minor niggles we had with our recent visit to Brewers Fayre when staying at Premier Inn  Glan Conwy. The bacon was relatively anaemic and not well done at all. I tend to like my bacon lightly done, but this was too pale even for me!   Also, it wasn’t clear how to heat the pancakes. The staff said pancakes couldn’t go into the toaster, so we had cold, dry-tasting pancakes.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt we got excellent value for money. The buffet trays were well stocked, and although it was pretty busy, they didn’t feel chaotic or rushed. We thought the Premier Inn Unlimited Breakfast offered great value for money and was the perfect start to our Sunday.
